Facebook's Workplace Chat app now available for Windows users

Regular Workplace features like private and group chats, one-on-one video calling, live video broadcasts, file and screen sharing, etc. are available.

Facebook is not sharing how many of those businesses are paying customers, for example - Facebook rolled out a free version of Workplace in April and also offers the service for free to nonprofits and educational institutions. And if you have been having a hard time finding the Workplace apps on your mobile device in the past, you will now be able to find them more easily as DiPersia announces that the app's icon will have a new color: Workplace grey.

In 2016, Facebook introduced the enterprise software called the #workplace.

Now, Facebook is launching a Workplace Chat desktop app for both PC and Mac to accompany the already existing browser and mobile versions.

Workplace is now used in 79 languages and by people on every continent. The social network doesn't even break out revenue for Instagram, and that business is much older and estimated to be pretty big. And Facebook is in the process of aggressively expanding the team's ranks with open job listings for growth managers and salespeople.

Workplace aims to be an employee's command centre for everything that's happening with their team, their company, and their industry.

Among other improvements to Workplace by Facebook is the ability to look for connections and information on the platform more easily with an update to the group bookmarks layout. Building on the launch of the Workplace name and logo previous year, we're giving all our apps, across all platforms, a new, fresh, and consistent look and feel.
