Ozil, Sanchez could leave in January - Wenger

According to Jason Burt of the Telegraph, while Sanchez will be available for free next summer when his contract expires-and can reach agreements with clubs in January to that end-City are expected to make a bid for him in an attempt to snap him up early.

Arsene Wenger has rustled the Arsenal fanbase yet again after revealing that both Sanchez and Ozil could leave in January.

Of Sanchez's potential availability on Saturday against Watford, Wenger said: "I will have to speak with him, I watched the whole game [ against Brazil]".

Speaking ahead of this weekend's clash against Watford, Wenger said: "In our situation, we have envisaged every solution".

"The fact we didn't agree a year ago doesn't mean he wants to leave".

"Both players are happy here".

The Gunners face Watford in their first game after the worldwide break on Saturday lunchtime, but they are dealing with something of an injury crisis. "At the present time there is no deal close for me to announce".

However, Ozil's agent Dr Erkut Sogut said earlier in the week that the Germany global wanted to play in the Premier League for another two to three years and that talks with Arsenal "are going in a positive way".

The 25-year-old Germany worldwide limped off with a first-half injury as the World Cup holders completed a 100% record in qualifying for Russian Federation 2018 by thrashing Azerbaijan 5-1 on Sunday. "Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow".

"Sanchez is a lion who wants to play football and I do not expect him to sulk".

Wenger might have given them an opening after admitting there is possibility that the two could be could. "I will always appreciate him and I will always wish him the best wherever he goes".

Another possible departure from Arsenal in January is Jack Wilshere, after reports indicated he was considering leaving the club in order to force his way into England's World Cup squad.
