See the First Sign of Kate Middleton's Baby Bump

"The Duchess' condition is improving but she is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum".

The Duchess of Cambridge has braved severe morning sickness to attend a Buckingham Palace reception honouring mental health campaigners - with her emerging baby bump on show for the first time.

Despite still suffering from severe vomiting (hyperemesis gravidarum), she looked relaxed and was showing signs of a tiny baby bump.

The Duchess has been missing from recent royal engagements since announcing she and Prince William are expecting their third child.

At the time of Kate's pregnancy announcement, it was reported she was 11 weeks gone, which would mean she is around the 15-week mark today.

One of their initiatives that's close to the duchess' heart is Heads Together, a mental health campaign whose aim is to challenge mental health stigma and change how it is perceived.

Kate's previous public appearance was on was August 30, when she toured the Princess Diana garden at Kensington Palace with William in advance of the 20th anniversary of Diana's death.

The royals had invited 350 guests from the mental health sector including many of those who appeared in videos promoting William, Kate and Harry's Heads Together campaign, which has been encouraging people to talk about their psychological problems or be a sympathetic ear for those in need.

According to reports, the royal couple will welcome baby number three, a sibling to Prince George (4) and Princess Charlotte (2) early next year but a due date has yet to be confirmed.

In the clip below, she shares the importance of talking about mental health issues. "Things that can't really be seen but that affect us every day, and talking about them can feel hard", she says, introducing a short animated film on the topic for children.

But tonight she made her first appearance, and the Duchess of Cambridge glowed as she stepped in front of cameras.
