Trump Responds to Michael Moore's Broadway Show

President Donald Trump has reacted to filmmaker Michael Moore's Broadway show poking fun at his administration by launching a Twitter spat, to which Moore responded in a series of tweets, accusing the president of trying to distract the public from Afghanistan, Puerto Rico and the Russian Federation probe. It was billed as a 12-week limited engagement, and it completed its run.

"Although it isn't an entire presidential matter, I have to mention that Michael Moore's very poor overall performance on Broadway had been a TOTAL FAILURE and that he was compelled to close".

It's unclear what prompted Trump to send such a tweet on the cusp of a Saturday evening - though, like Moore himself, "The Terms of My Surrender" did not hold back on its criticisms of Trump and his presidency. "The Terms of My Surrender" began previews at Belasco Theatre in NY on July 28 and officially opened August 10.

Moore responded to Trump in kind, tweeting that the real bomb was his presidency. And ones that are also factually incorrect!

"You must have my smash hit of a Broadway show confused with your presidency - which IS a total bomb and WILL indeed close early". "You ARE aware I'm a "B'way star" & I guess this bothers you more. SAD".

Moore responded in a series of tweets directed at the President, criticising his presidency and mocking numerous tropes of Trump's tweets.

Trump was blasting Moore's one-man play "The Terms of My Surrender", which scorches Trump and closed last Sunday.
