Carrie Underwood suffers broken wrist after 'hard fall'

Carrie Underwood will be out of commission for a bit after falling outside of her Nashville-area home on Friday night (Nov. 10).

Carrie Underwood is recovering after suffering a broken wrist and other injuries, her rep told ABC News.

She is married to retired hockey player Mike Fisher and is the mother of their 2-year-old son Isaiah. The statement also says her recovery will "take some time".

In a statement Sunday on Twitter, Underwood thanked her fans for messages of support following her fall Friday night.

Underwood was set to play the Country Rising benefit concert in Nashville Sunday night alongside stars like Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt and Keith Urban, but was forced to pull out.

Just days after co-hosting the Country Music Awards, the country singer took a spill on the steps of her house and suffered multiple injuries including a broken wrist.

"Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody", the "Jesus Take the Wheel" singer wrote. "This has been a year marked by tragedy, impacting countless lives, including so many in our country family", Underwood said in part.
