ESPNChicago: Chicago to host 2020 NBA All Star Game, source says

The NBA has today announced that the 2020 All-Star Game will be held in Chicago for the first time since 1988. They did not release any details about the content of that announcement. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and several Bulls and city officials were on hand to announce the news.

According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, The Chicago Bulls' bid for the 2020 All-Star event gained significant momentum last month.

This season's All-Star Game will be held in Los Angeles, and it will go to Charlotte in 2019. "Bringing the NBA All-Star Game back to the city for the first time in over three decades is a win for our city, our businesses and fans of all ages who will have the chance to be part of one of basketball's biggest events".
