Google Pixel 2 XL owners are complaining about yet another problem

Whilst the new software update is largely focused on the Pixel 2 XL, it does include a fix for the annoying "clicking noise" found in the smaller sized Pixel 2.

As it moves forward, Google is attempting to fix its issues with software updates, even for hardware based problems.

GoogleGoogle has officially revealed the second generation of its Pixel smartphones, the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.

There were some reports that the promo will only have free Google Home Minis in their standard, off-white Chalk color as part of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL pre-order bonus. The good news is that a faulty microphone should be covered by Google's return policy, so be sure to get in touch with Google about an RMA ASAP if you're experiencing anything abnormal when it comes to the mic on your Pixel 2.

Google is having a hard time with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL flagship devices. Google has always passed production tasks to an OEM and for the Pixel 2, the production duty is passed to LG. Users, however, are reporting that when they click on the link provided in Google's email, they have been offered their free Google Home mini in multiple colors.

Some Pixel 2 owners have reported unresponsive microphones during calls or while using voice assistant.

However, in a recent post, a user shared that they were able to resolve the problem by blowing into the bottom speaker. As of now, it is still unclear whether this is a hardware related issue and whether a majority of Pixel 2 XL owners have been facing the issue. Doing this made my microphone work again and it continues to work when it goes out.

Last night, we told you about the Google Pixel 2 XL's flashing screen problem, just the latest in a series of issues involving the model's 6-inch display.

Interestingly, users have added that blowing into the front speaker when the microphone is working causes it to fail again.
