Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State Rally Past Iowa State in Wild 4th Quarter

A high-scoring affair was decided in the final minutes as Oklahoma State's A.J. Green intercepted a Cyclone pass in the end zone and the No. 12 Cowboys held off No. 24 Iowa State, 49-42, Saturday afternoon in front of a sellout crowd.

David Montgomery made it 42-34 on a subsequent 4-yard run, but Iowa State's highly-rated defense faltered down the stretch.

Oklahoma State clinched a crucial Big 12 victory over Iowa State with a controversial end zone interception with just 32 seconds remaining.

After Rudolph helped put Oklahoma State on top 49-42 with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Dillon Stoner with 3:47 remaining, Montgomery almost brought the Cyclones back.

The game was played within one score almost throughout and naturally came down to the wire. Oklahoma State improves to 8-2 overall and 5-2 in conference action. After two ISU penalties on the two-point conversion, OSU finally converted to tie it. A series later, Hill made an acrobatic 52-yard run down to the Iowa State 1, setting up his own 2-yard TD run three plays later for OSU's first lead at 21-14 with 8:27 left in the half.

Allen Lazard and Montgomery led the Cyclones on the offensive side of the ball. Rudolph hit Ateman for 30 yards, then one play later, hit Dillon Stoner on a swing pass he turned into a 19-yard touchdown.

Quarterback-linebacker Joel Lanning had a rushing and passing TD for Iowa State (6-4, 4-3). Lanning also had five tackles, including half a sack, on defense. Redshirt freshman quarterback Zeb Norland, who entered the game after the starter Kyle Kempt came out with an injury, led the Cyclones down the field on a drive that included a fourth-and-13 conversion. Noland threw for 263 yards.

AMES, Iowa - A week after a crushing loss to Oklahoma in Bedlam, Oklahoma State was slow to regroup against resurgent Iowa State. The time and television network are to be announced.
