Moira is Overwatch's new healer, theme park map coming next year

Blizzard World will come to Overwatch in early 2018 but director Jeff Kaplan promises that the new map will hit PTR "very, very soon". In addition to brand new healer character Moira, Blizzard also revealed a brand new map. Her ability to heal will be resource based, and it will be fueled by the amount of damage that she does.

She then also has basic abilities: Biotic Orb can either heal allies or damage enemies as it bounces around teh map, and Fade gives her the ability to teleport a short distance instantly. I'm not sure I'm in love with Moira yet, but the new Blizzard World map looks like a lot of fun. She is the sixth support class hero to join the rest of the large cast, bringing the support class' numbers up to match those of the defense and tank classes.

Trusted Reviews has gone ahead and compiled everything you need to know about the new hero alongside all the other big Overwatch news from Blizzcon 2017.

As the death of his mentor triggers a change in young Reinhardt, the scene moves back to the moment in which the Overwatch is called back in action, and the Crusader tells Brigitte that he must answer the call, like his friend did before him. However, Blizzard did joke that she is an incredibly powerful character that the team is eager to see implemented into the game. To play her effectively, she's got to be both doing damage and healing constantly.

Coalescence- Moira channels a long-range beam that both heals allies and bypasses barriers to damage her enemies. Blizzard World will be a hybrid map, meaning that the first part of the map will be capture point, and after the first point has been captured, will evolve into a payload map.

Huh. Do you think there's a Heroes of the Storm ride at Blizzard World?
