This update is still in its beta version and is based on Android 8 (Oreo) dubbed OxygenOS Beta-1 by the company.

Though it is in beta stage, the update has brought in some major changes to the interface such as the updation of Android framework. Mostly this was because the Oneplus 5T launched with the 18:9 aspect ratio display, which is now the industry norm while the OnePlus 5 had thick bezels on the top and bottom. Yes, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users will no longer receive any software update, however, the company does promise to roll out the monthly security updates.
