Real Madrid's Gareth Bale hit by another left leg injury

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has spoken about Gareth Bale's struggles with injuries at Madrid.

Along with the trip to Atleti's Wanda Metropolitano on 18 November, Bale will sit out Madrid's next Champions League match against APOEL, and may also miss the conclusion of their Group H campaign when Dortmund visit the Santiago Bernabeu on 6 December.

"Bale breaks down again", splashed the front page of Madrid sports daily AS.

The Wales worldwide, who left Spurs in 2013 for a then-record fee of £85m, has struggled to consistently impress at Real Madrid.

However, for many in Madrid those moments have been far too fleeting for the club's record purchase.

This season he's made nine appearances for Spanish giants and scored three goals.

Fans have been desperate to see Bale reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in attack following the club's slow start to the campaign.

The Wales global has sustained another injury setback and is expected to be out for close to a month.

As patience wears thin in Madrid, the potential for a return to England's Premier League, where Bale was twice Players' Player of the Year with Spurs, remains a strong possibility.

It is not just an issue that has affected Bale just this year.
