Star Wars Battlefront 2 lays out its FREE DLC Plans

"We can't wait to continue with this new series of films". Things will first kick off on December 5, having you choose a faction between the Resistance and The New Order, which will decide different challenges and such that you get.

Star Wars Battlefront II is just around the corner and EA is ready to spill the beans on what fans can expect from Season 1 of their free DLC content.

Because factions are all the rage these days, on December 5th Battlefront II will start urging players to pick a side (Resistance or First Order) enabling challenges that grant particular rewards. Johnson is inching closer to launching the second installment of Lucasfilm's relaunched live-action Star Wars brand and all indications are he has nailed it. And make sure you save some time for The Last Jedi Season - but, of course, make sure you save a few hours to see the film. That is only the beginning, because December 13th brings with it a ton of new content for both online multiplayer and the singleplayer campaign. Your favorite stormtrooper-turned-hero Finn joins the fight for the Resistance and Captain Phasma steps on to the Battlefront for the First Order. Whichever side - light or dark - wins the most challenges that week will receive a special crate with "high-power upgrades" for either Finn or Captain Phasma. You will be able to purchase both heroes with credits earned in-game starting on December 13th. Poe Dameron's X-Wing will get some upgrades, while Tallie Lintra's A-Wing will be unlocked. The plan is to continue rolling out content on a regular basis, with your faction choice affecting outcomes well into the future. "Star Wars is the greatest modern mythology and we feel very lucky to have contributed to it. Throughout December, you'll see your chosen faction's progress reflected in-game, as you fight alongside allies from around the world to swing the tide of battle", EA says in a blog post.
