Trump feels insulted being called 'old' by Kim Jong Un

Trump has denied that his campaign coordinated in any way with Moscow during last year's presidential campaign, and he said Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin again denied any involvement in trying to influence the US elections when Trump spoke with him at a regional summit in Danang, Vietnam.

"Might be a unusual thing to happen but it's certainly a possibility", Trump said during a press conference with Vietnam's president, adding that it would be "very, every nice if it did".

Kim's regime has ramped up its anti-US rhetoric ever since President Trump visited East Asia as part of a 12-day tour aimed at boosting trade and drumming up support for a solution to the North Korean crisis.

On Aug. 8, Trump threatened the regime with "fire and fury like the world has never seen", leading Kim to say he would consider sending missiles into the waters off the coast of Guam in "mid-August". That might be a unusual thing that happens.

That includes a stern speech delivered in South Korea's National Assembly on Tuesday, in which he said: "Do not underestimate us. But it is certainly a possibility", Trump said. "If that did happen, it would be a good thing for, I can tell you, for North Korea". A lot of people stick to paying attention to whatever's going on in their own country, trying not be sucked into what's happening on the other side of the world.

Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!

Trump has been working to rally global pressure against North Korea's nuclear weapons program on a trip to Asia.

"Every step you take down this dark path increases the peril you face".

The harsh words between the leaders have escalated in recent months after North Korea threatened to launch missiles toward the United States territory of Guam.

That test would be the 15th ballistic missile test since Trump took office, and the first since September.

Jouas also stressed that unlike previous conflicts, the U.S. would not be able build up its forces prior to engagement with the North Koreans, stating that it "will take days to months to arrive in theater [of war]".
