Wow ratchets Icelandair rivalry with JFK route

- Discount airline WOW air is set to serve from John F. Kennedy Airport in NY in 2018, giving travelers yet another option for cheap flights to Europe.

This does mean that your journey time is slightly longer, although you've got plenty of spare change leftover from the low-priced ticket that you could spend in the airport bar.

"The airline will begin flying to JFK in spring 2018, with the inaugural flight departing on 26 April".

The fares are now on sale for the new route beginning April 2018. While the route will end at the very convenient JFK, which is located a mere 15 miles from Manhattan, the flight makes a several hours-long stopover at Reykjavik Airport in Iceland, both on the outbound and inbound routes. It also includes flights for under £130 one-way to Newark, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit and Cleveland and if you're planning on visiting Iceland's capital next year, Wow Air's fares are particularly cheap, starting at £29.99 one-way. The airline will also offer higher-priced flights from JFK to other destinations in Europe.
