WWE SmackDown results, recap: Massive shocking title change goes down on show

A Raw rerun half the time and even less the rest, the blue brand was ice cold rather than the ultra-cool 'Land Of Opportunity it became under the stewardship of WWE Champion AJ Styles following the split.

SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon made a blockbuster announcement Wednesday, revealing that John Cena will be the fifth and final member of his team at Survivor Series.

All of that should make the November 19 pay-per-view one of the year's best.

In regards to the sudden title change, Meltzer stated that the internal feeling was the fact that people were "crapping all over" the Lesnar v. Jinder match, but the sharp drop in last week's SmackDown rating was also a likely factor.

The Leader of the Cenation hasn't been seen since No Mercy two months ago when he lost a dream match to Roman Reigns.

He will now be teaming up with Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and team leader McMahon. Kurt Angle, Jason Jordan, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor and Samoa Joe are on Team Raw.

The victory for Styles sets up a dream Survivor Series match with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in a non-title champion vs champion bout. Rusev thought he was going to get a spot of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series.

Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss is now scheduled to face SmackDown Women's Champion Natalya at Survivor Series, but that could change on the next episode of "SmackDown Live" when Natalya has a title match with Charlotte.
