Jimbo Fisher introduced as Texas A&M head football coach

At his introductory press conference Monday, Jimbo Fisher said it was "a no-brainer" to leave Florida State for Texas A&M.

"You can have the greatest coaches in the world, but if your administration doesn't see things the way you see things and allow you to do things that way, nothing can be achieved".

Fisher had an 83-23 with the Seminoles and won the 2013 BCS national championship with a 14-0 record.

It is not clear yet what Fisher's salary would be for the 2018 season.

Florida State improved to.500 for the first time this season, and is eligible to extend the nation's longest bowl streak to 36 years after a 42-10 victory over Louisiana Monroe on Saturday afternoon in Doak Campbell Stadium. "After Scott had contacted and I started to research and all the things it had here and the resources it had here and the vision it had here and the people it had here, from the President to the Chancellor to the Board of Regents and everyone together as a oneness". Fisher especially was attracted to A&M because of Woodward, whom he had worked with before at LSU.

Fisher said "all the ingredients (for success) are here" and mentioned Texas A&M's recruiting base, facilities and local support.

"I had no plans of ever leaving there", Fisher said. "And I am confident that the opportunity for greatness is right around the corner".

"I understand that I come in here with great expectations", Fisher said.

"We've got to get caught up", Fisher said in September.

"We're going to find the best coach that we can possibly find", Wilcox said during a halftime interview with ACC Network Extra. We made a few little adjustments. "We've got to get caught up in that area". "I've always admired Texas A&M from afar and appreciated what it had".

You can bet Texas A&M will pour money into its program to try to make the Aggies a consistent SEC West contender under Fisher.
