The pop-rock star, who is also a member of the popular Grateful Dead offshoot Dead and Company, was hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy on December 5. The newly shelved shows were to have taken place this Thursday in Orlando, Florida, and Friday in Sunrise, Florida.

The 40-year-old had performed with the Dead & Company as recently as Sunday. Loynes said all tickets for the concerts would be honored and later rescheduled. "Should ticketholders choose to seek a refund, they will be available at point of purchase". The group has already completed a series of shows at Philips Arena in Atlanta on November 29, American Airlines Center in Dallas on December 1, and Frank Erwin Center in Austin on December 2.

"Still got it", John captioned the below selfie.
