Lorenzen Wright's Ex-Wife Was Arrested In Connection To His 2010 Murder

Sherra Wright, the ex-wife of slain NBA basketball player Lorenzen Wright, grieves at the casket of Lorenzen Wright during a memorial service at the FedExForum in Memphis in 2010.

Wright-Robinson has been arrested in Riverside, California, about an hour east of Los Angeles, in connection with her ex-husband's death, investigators said this weekend.

Last week, a man named Billy Turner (seen at right above) was arrested in Colliersville, Tennessee, where Wright lived, and charged with first-degree murder in the Wright case. "We wanted to investigate it as if it had just happened".

There was a break in the high-profile cold case when the gun used to murder Wright was found in a MS lake.

Goods would only say that Wright-Robinson and Turner knew each other.

When asked about the death for the 2015 interview for the project, Who Killed Lorenzen Wright?, Sherra said: 'I'm a wife, a mother and an author.

Turner was charged in the first indictment weeks after Memphis police retrieved a gun from a lake near Walnut, Mississippi in November that they later said was the murder weapon.

"We coined this case "Operation Rebound" and the basketball connection is undeniable", Goods said, according to the Commercial Appeal.

On Jul. 28 2010, Lorenzen's body was found in a swampy field 10 days after he had been reported missing.

On July 19, 2010, authorities received a 911 call from Wright's cell phone - before the call was dropped, the dispatcher heard what sounded like gunshots.

The Commercial Appeal reported on August 1, 2010, Memphis police searched his ex-wife's home and found burned pieces of metal and a letter addressed to her and Lorenzen Wright, but law enforcement refused to divulge what those items meant to the case.

Lorenzen Wright's former personal assistant also claimed she had audio tapes that show Sherra Wright made threatening comments about her ex-husband.

Sherra Wright divorced Lorenzen Wright months before he died, her divorce attorney Gail Mathes told the Daily News in 2010. He had earned more than $55 million during his career.
