Rob Gronkowski slams into Bills player, not ejected

While on the ground, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski - who was being covered by White - lined up the rookie, stuttered stepped and buried his shoulder into the back of his head.

The play came in the fourth quarter after White had just intercepted a Tom Brady pass intended for Gronkowski.

White was dazed as he got up and was immediately escorted to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion.

"Whether it warrants a suspension or whatever, there's no place in this league for that", Bills safety Jordan Poyer said.

In his postgame comments, Gronkowski apologized to White, but blamed his actions over frustration with officials both during the game and over the course of his career.

"I'm not in the business of that", he told reporters. It was just a lot of frustration. "It was just frustration and that's what happened". Then, late in the game, Rob Gronkowski went ahead and did this after an interception.

Gronkowski and New England coach Bill Belichick each have since apologized for the 6-foot-7, 265-pound star tight end's poor judgment. "And just a couple times during the game, and they're calling me for the craziest, craziest stuff ever". "I think anybody else in the league who made that play, or who did such an act, would be ejected". It's like insane. Like, what am I supposed to do?
