[Teams] Liverpool vs Spartak Moscow: Confirmed Line-Ups From Anfield

Jürgen Klopp said Liverpool's formidable attacking quartet will strike fear throughout the Champions League after his team swept into the last 16 with a 7-0 destruction of Spartak Moscow. Can, Wijnaldum and Coutinho named alongside Salah, Mane and Firmino.

James Milner whipped in a cross from the left which Mane met first-time with an unstoppable volley and then a deflected shot from Coutinho completed his hat-trick to make it 5-0. The fact that he was handed the armband by coach Juergen Klopp against Spartak is a sign of the reconciliation between the two parties, even though speculation continues about a renewed bid by Barcelona in January.

Liverpool handed out another huge defeat as they fired their way into the Champions League group stage. The seven scored against Spartak took their tally up to 69 in all competitions for the season. "It proves that we are not trained for the Champions League level", he commented.

Liverpool was one of four English teams to top a group, along with Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Spartak arrived in the northwest of England still in with a chance of qualifying.

Liverpool's early onslaught began from the spot, Coutinho coolly sending the goalkeeper the wrong way after Salah had been dragged down by Giorgi Jikia.

Senol Gunes' side won't be easy to beat as they embark on their first foray into the last 16 in 31 years, especially with a second leg in front of their vociferous home fans.

He first converted from the spot in the fourth minute and then capped off a classy attacking move for a second, before Roberto Firmino got in on the act by making it 3-0 in just the 18th minute. "And if you see how Dom Solanke performed at Stoke, how Daniel Sturridge performed when he came on tonight - he could have scored two or three and he made a goal for Sadio - that's good".

It is also why Coutinho's value remains innumerable to Liverpool, with a direct hand in 15 goals from his last 11 appearances. "I could not be less interested in the other teams to be honest but I think the reason [for five English teams in the draw] is quality", Klopp said.
