UFC 218: Francis Ngannou Promises He'll Finish Stipe Miocic

The co-main event of the pay-per-view was two fantastic fights that ended in two very different ways to leave the fans watching the event at home pleased and those watching live at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan going home very happy.

The former Strikeforce and Dream heavyweight champion, Overeem, squared off with risky knockout artist Francis Ngannou in the co-main event of tonight's UFC 218 fight card in Detroit, Michigan.

Francis Ngannou took Overeem out of the heavyweight title picture in short order.

Following his performance, Ngannou made it known that he wants the next shot at UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic both inside the Octagon and backstage.

"No damage and all healthy thankfully". After avoiding another looping left hook, Ngannou sent the Dutchman flying with a vicious counter left hand that turned the lights out before he hit the canvas. "Some chill timenow before back to the drawing-board". At the UFC 218 post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Miocic vs. Ngannou is in the promotion's immediate plans and added that he is hoping to get it done "as soon as possible." .

Ngannou (11-1 record in MMA) only debuted with the promotion in December 2015 and is now on a six-fight winning streak that includes five knockouts.
