5 women accuse actor James Franco of sexual misconduct

5 women accuse actor James Franco of sexual misconduct

She accused Franco of asking her to go topless in a scene for a commercial.

Franco then appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday where the host asked him about the allegations.

"First of all I want to say, I wore [the Time's Up pin] because I do support it", Franco said. Franco told The Late Show he had "no idea" why she said that.

Franco's former students Hilary Dusome and Natalie Chmie described a hostile interaction with him on a film shoot that took place in a strip club. Still, she told the Times that seeing Franco with the Time's Up pin felt like a "slap in my face".

Paley also revealed that she contacted him after the Harvey Weinstein scandal past year to express her "anger and sadness over his treatment of her" and he later spoke to her on the phone to make amends. When no actresses volunteered, Dusome and Chmiel said Franco became angry. Vince Jolivette, co-owner of Rabbit Bandini, which ran Studio 4, said in a statement provided to the Times by Franco's attorney that "the school was always run professionally". He did not teach most of the classes. But some did not have a good experience. In no time, four other of his former students also went public with accusations of harassment and sexual exploitation.

Paley said she met The Disaster Artist star in 2016 and was having a romantic relationship with him when he pressured her into performing oral sex on him while sitting in her auto. "Our instructors were excellent, student feedback was positive and this recent tweet from a former student is very inconsistent with the mission of the school and we are investigating this matter", he said.

Actress Violet Paley said on Twitter that Franco pushed her head toward his groin in a auto, and filmmaker Sarah Tither-Kaplan claimed a $100-a-day contract she signed to perform nudity in a film of Franco's was exploitive. When asked, he said he has not tried to reach out to her. The role required her to appear nude. In fact, she signed nudity agreements for each of the films she made with Franco.

Tither-Kaplan later appeared in a 2015 Franco-helmed project, The Long Home. Tither-Kaplan alleged Franco simulated oral sex after removing the plastic guards. "I got it in my head pretty quickly that, OK, you don't say no to this guy", she said.

Actress Violet Paley tweeted on Sunday that Franco once "pushed" her head down in a vehicle toward his "exposed penis", and that she knew "other girls with similar stories". She took the tweet down. His attorney, Cynthia Huffman, told the Times that she had received no complaints from actors about her client's behavior, at least not during filming of The Long Way Home.

Ryan also said that she was offered roles as hookers and strippers for years after taking classes at Franco's Studio 4. "I had a great relationship with her". They continued a consensual sexual relationship after the alleged incident. Franco's lawyer denied Paley's allegations, saying they were "not accurate".

During yet another awkward late-night television appearance, this time on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Golden Globes victor was forced to address tweets from two women accusing him of harassment and the now-deleted tweets by Breakfast Club star Ally Sheedy. "Please never ever ask me why I left the film/tv business".

On Late Night, Franco emphasized his support for the movement toward accountability in Hollywood, repeating that he didn't want to detract from the women's stories while simultaneously and paradoxically claiming that they were not true-without offering any specific rebuttals. "I do it whenever I know that there is something wrong or needs to be changed, I make it a point to do it", he said.
