A Woman Actually, Successfully Returned Her Dead Christmas Tree

A Costco in California has reportedly issued a refund after a woman returned her Christmas tree in January claiming it was dead, CBS Los Angeles reports.

The woman had "no conscience" even though she was "shamed to a small degree" by Costco employees, Bentley wrote, .

It is not sure whether the original post was deleted by the user.

The post said that the woman did get a refund but after the store checked and verified that the tree was purchased on her account.

"I can't make this stuff up", he wrote. She even let him take her picture, which he posted with a red "X" over her face.

Costco is known for it's generous return policy.

"We will cancel and refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied", says Costco's return policy on membership.

In a move that can either be deemed savvy or simply ridiculous, a California woman went to Costco with her dead Christmas tree demanding a refund, and she got it. People do this all the time.
