Acer launches budget-friendly Chromebook 11

The Chromebook 11 starts at just $249, but features fairly low-end specs to match.

While the Chromebook 14 G5 ports placed on the sides of the palm rest, the 11.6-inch variant has them on the upper corners, 9to5Google reports. HP has announced its latest range of Chromebook 11G6, Chromebook 14 G5 with USB- Type C ports. Acer says these new Chromebooks are ideal for everyday use with their super portable design and up to 10-hours of battery life. It is a budget-friendly Chromebook and comes with USB Type-C charging. With any luck, the Acer Chromebook 11 will deliver a bright, crisp viewing experience for its users. Having the model number CB311, this new Chromebook is said to come with no compromises to the battery life. Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11ac 2×2 MIMO are also onboard as standard.

Moreover, a dual-speaker, HDR support, Four USB (2 each of Type C & Type A (3.0)) ports, and an expandable storage support are featured by the Chromebook.

Out of the box you'll have support for Android apps, along with the regular Chrome apps and extensions. The Acer Chromebook 11 will shipping April, the company says, priced from $249. On the other hand, the Chromebook 14 G5 comes with a 14-inch display with 1366×768 pixels resolution.

The brand new Chromebox packs a 7th-gen Kaby Lake chipset, as well as an 8th-gen Kaby Lake refresh, together providing amazingly advanced performance 'over the original processor.' It runs the Chrome OS and has 2 memory slots, along with 16GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM. As far as its availability is on quest, the new Chromebook 11 is set to be launched initially in EMEA, most probably in coming March. It also comes with up to 8GB RAM and 64GB storage, and can withstand MIL-STD 810G testing.
