In a post on their website more details for the upcoming title update as well as the expansion were revealed. This New Game+ or New Game Plus mode will let players start the game all over again with their old save files, which they used to finish the main story once. It's now time for the first story expansion to arrive. The level cap will jump from 40 to 45, leaving you room to become an even more deadly assassin. The expansion is free for season pass holders, but non-subscribers will presumably pay for the expansion.

Ubisoft is yet to announce an official release date, but its expected that players will be able to re-enter the vibrant, lived-in environments of ancient Egypt by the end of January. What we do know is that it'll launch sometime this month. The company noted these delays are courtesy of the development of Assassin's Creed Origins.

In addition, Heka chests will now have more items available as rewards, adding items from the Nightmare, First Civilization, Gladiator, and Wacky packs into the pool of items players can win.

Finally, if you're interested in hunting Egyptian Gods, you'll get another chance to go after a pair of them. From January 9-16, players can face off against the deity Anubis.

Players would probably prefer stronger assurance that a New Game+ mode will be added, but the recent revelation from the developers at least offers hope that the feature will be introduced eventually.
