Barack Obama Describes His 'Dad Moves' On David Letterman's Netflix Talk Show

In the clip of the talk show's first episode, the former president talked about spending a night dancing with Prince.

In the clip, Obama recalls musician Prince's performance at the White House in June 2015. The American politician is clearly enjoying his time as proven by the grin on his face, as he dances with his now-16-year-old daughter.

'I have dad moves, ' Obama says, casually making it sound like the most desirable quality any person could ever have, and immediately leaving the rest of the world wanting "dad moves".

"I think the key is what we call 'staying in the pocket, '" he continued and explained that dads should tone down their dance moves in order to avoid embarrassing themselves or their children.

More news: Turning even milder but also wetter with rain later this week

"You've got to stay in the pocket".

'I have dad moves, ' Obama clarifies to a long-bearded Letterman. (A perfectly legitimate aspiration, but let's be real you're never going to pull it off like Obama, so don't even try). The setting is relaxed and informal - think "Inside the Actors Studio" as opposed to "Late Show with David Letterman". In the interview, Obama discusses his family, LIFE AFTER the presidency and what he views as the pressing issues facing our country. A new episode comes out on Netflix every month in 2018.

Episodes for the hour-long, six-part series will be rolled out once a month, with future chats confirmed with Jay-Z, George Clooney, Malala Yousafazi, Tina Fey and "shock jock" extraordinaire Howard Stern.
