Calvin Ridley will forgo his senior year, enter 2018 NFL Draft

He is now the Editor-in-Chief of Campus Sports.

"Since he arrived at Alabama, there was the thought he would be a 3-and-done player", Savage said.

Four more members of Alabama's loaded junior class have elected to forgo their final season of eligibility and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

Ridley had been Alabama's top receiver since he first set foot on campus as a freshman in 2015, when he caught 89 passes for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns.

Fitzpatrick and Harrison join wide receiver Calvin Ridley and running back Bo Scarbrough as members of the Crimson Tide who have declared for the 2018 draft. Payne had a dominant postseason that included an interception and his first career touchdown reception.

After rushing for 812 yards and 6.5 yards per carry as a sophomore, Scarbrough was not as effective this past season, rushing for 596 yards and averaging 4.8 per carry.

Alabama also got some unexpected good news.

Former Madison Southern running back Damien Harris will return for his senior season at Alabama.

Harris ran for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns this year as the lead rusher for the Crimson Tide.

The following year, Ridley went for 72-769-7 and finally had a 63-967-5 junior season.

Praise continues to roll in for Tagovailoa after his performance against Georgia.

Payne had an interception against Clemson and registered six tackles in the come-from-behind win over Georgia that secured the school's fifth national title in nine seasons. Part of the claim obviously comes from the fact that UCF wasn't invited to the College Football Playoff, denying it a shot at the Tide and Bulldogs.
