Towards the end of the trailer we see T'Challa meeting with what appears to be spiritual versions of Black Panthers that have come before him.

During the 2018 College Football Championship Game on ESPN, fans were treated to a sneak peek of Black Panther, which hits theatres on February 16, 2018.

It's clear that Black Panther is unlike any movie we've seen before: the lush Afro-futurism, the majority-black cast, the epic political intrigue.

The first of 2018's superhero movies is Marvel's Black Panther, and it hits theaters next month. The action is set to music by Kendrick Lamar, who produced and curated the film's soundtrack (and performed during the game's halftime show, because synergy). "You're telling me", Ross asks Klaue, "the king of a third world country runs around in a bulletproof cat suit?"

Black Panther tickets are now officially on sale, and with them another confirmation: select scenes from the film have been specially formatted for IMAX viewing.

In the new movie, T'Challa, the Black Panther's real name, must battle longtime adversaries with the aide of his all-female bodyguards and a Central Intelligence Agency agent to maintain control of his country and prevent a world war. However, the actual Black Panther soundtrack will be available for pre-order on iTunes on February 9, 2018. "I think it's a little bit of a family drama", he added, mentioning how that adds a family-drawn element in the film.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and also stars Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Daniel Kaluuya, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira and Andy Serkis.
