Darren Criss and 'American Crime Story: Versace' Producers Tease Season 2

The second installment of American Crime Story (Following The People vs. O.J. Simpson) premieres tomorrow at 10 PM ET/PT on the cable network.

Gunned down on his doorstep by the psychotic fabulist Andrew Cunanan (Glee's Darren Criss), Gianni Versace bleeds to death alongside a bloodied dove similarly, if inexplicably, pierced by a bullet. But the show isn't uniquely vulturous. But it's fitting that the show opens on the last morning of Gianni Versace's life, on July 15, 1997. Americans love their blood and guts. Everything he wants and can not have is embodied by Gianni Versace.

Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan in "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace". "The work is based off a book of non-fiction, so we're going off that". Ricky's song, "Living La Vida Loca", was immensely popular when it came out and made him a huge success in the late 1990's and early 2000's; women everywhere were infatuated with the singer. "Feels very Godfather-esque".

Penelope Cruz appears on Ellen to say that she reached out to Donatella about playing her, and that the designer gave her a reticent blessing. "He tells the story of having met Versace". I was surrounded by friends that were telling me, "Don't!" "You have forgotten how ugly the world can be".

Veracity is unlikely to stop the popularity of The Assassination of Gianni Versace in its tracks, however; like its predecessor, this season has collected a glittering cast of stars, clearly hoping to amp up the more glamorous aspects of the story.

He told Noah, 'I had my kids and then I said, "I have to come out, I'm not going to lie to these lovely kids"'. It's that Gianni Versace is the ultimate symbol of what is like at the top of Andrew's desire. "He absolutely did know Versace". According to an interview with friends of Cunanan, the killer would often brag and claim to know several famous people, one of them was Imelda Marcos. None of this surprises us, though.

She went on to say that the scene where Cunanan was recounting the night at the club to Liz Cote and her husband "absolutely happened", because she spoke to Cote's husband about it.

CRISS: (As Andrew Cunanan) It's not a brag. Life was very important to him. Maybe it's more like infamy, but he'd probably take it. Versace (Édgar Ramírez) is seen going about his day, eating breakfast and going out to grab a newspaper. He doesn't emphasize name recognition and style at the expense of substance, though. "It makes me smile."-that I strangely wanted to believe it was true, even though it seems unlikely Versace would have immediately taken to Cunanan in this way". Cunanan determinedly lies so that he doesn't have to face up to who he really is. Later, Cunanan's clothes and truck were found in a nearby garage, but the spree killer managed to get away. No wonder Cunanan felt so compelled to take Gianni's life, as well as his own: He couldn't stand to see the fashion titan succeed, in business and in self-acceptance. The owners granted Murphy and his team permission to shoot on the premises for a month.
