Davos visit aimed at further improving India's economic growth: PM

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan will be visiting Switzerland on January 22 to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, press department at the Government reported. The trip to WEF Summit in Davos by an Indian Prime Minister comes after 20 years after 1997, he added.

"President Trump looks forward to having a bilateral meeting with U.K. Prime Minister May in Davos next week to further strengthen the U.S. -U.K. special relationship", White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement, saying more details would be released next week.

Mr Modi's message would be about India being an economy that could be "an engine of global growth", according to Mr Gokhale.

PM Modi said massive FDI is coming to the country, and the world wants to have a direct connection with the India. "Besides, there will be scope for pull asides, details of which are being worked out", he said.

Ramaphosa pledged yesterday that during his visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos this month, he would invite worldwide investors to buy into South African businesses.

"Culture shapes our identity and defines our heritage, influencing economic and social changes of the world around us". This will be the first time that India will host the welcome reception, where yoga will also be showcased along with cuisine from across the country. Past year he came off the bench very late - and the impact was electric.

The theme of the meeting, spread over 400 sessions, would be "Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World". He also discussed India's relationships with the United States and Israel.
