Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Switch Port Announced, Release Date Set

Donkey Kong will be swinging his way onto Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for Switch in a future DLC update, Nintendo announced today. What other port of a title for Wii U would you like to see on the hybrid console? Finally, we'll get two new costumes for Link and Zelda based out their outfits from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Tropical Freeze, the side-scrolling platformer developed by Retro Studios, originally arrived on Wii U back in 2014.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, as its being called, will feature 29 playable characters on the Switch. Specifically, a new mode featuring Funky Kong will be available as a new "beginner-friendly mode" where players can hover, perform infinite rolls and underwater corkscrews, double jump, and more to make the game more approachable for new players.
