Eden Hazard says he'll sign Chelsea FC contract after Thibaut Courtois

Hazard is the Blues' best and most important player, so tying him down to a new deal is imperative-while he still has over two years remaining on his contract, Chelsea do not want to find themselves in a similar situation to Arsenal with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Hazard, whose current deal runs out in 2020, recently gave supporters hope that he could sign a new deal after saying he was waiting for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to put pen to paper first.

Hazard has scored 9 goals and set up 8 goals for his teammates so far this season.

The Belgian has also admitted it would "be a dream" to play under Zidane, whom he calls an "idol".

The Chelsea manager said: "If you ask me about these two players, I will be very happy when they can have this deal but this is the responsibility of the club to try to do this".

Real Madrid have sent representatives to talk to Chelsea's Eden Hazard representatives about a possible multi-million pound move, according to reports.

This is according to a Spanish outlet Radio Monte Carlo, which claims the Chelsea star, has chose to join European giants Real Madrid in the summer.

"Yes. I think Thibaut first. Then I will sign", he added. It is thought that to lure Hazard away from Chelsea it would take a large sum of money and a huge weekly wage - something I'm sure Real Madrid will not shy away from.

"Yes", said the 24-year-old who was named in the UEFA Team of the year 2017, alongside Premier League mate Kevin De Bruyne, becoming the only Belgians to feature in the illustrious Xl.
