Harry and Meghan feel the love in Brixton

Tuesday's visit was the couple's second official visit since the couple announced their engagement in November.

Meghan, 36, joined her fiance to visit the Reprezent 107.3FM radio studios in Brixton, where station officials work with local youths by providing them with creative training in radio and broadcasting. The station trains hundreds of young people every year in media and employment skills.

The father of Meghan Markle says his daughter and Prince Harry are a "very good match".

It also runs programmes supporting youngsters with specific issues like mental health challenges, a cause dear to Harry's heart. It appeared as though Markle took a page from future sister-in-law Kate Middleton's playbook, giving her look a polished effect with the addition of a tonally coordinated Jigsaw scarf. "This is genuine - this is real stuff. Empowering the women to make sure they're in a space where it's not as much [male] driven - to be the man there supporting, I think that's incredible".

It was unusual in that royal fiancées have rarely appeared in public together before the wedding, and due to their destination: Brixton is a multi-ethnic district of London, home to Britons of African and Caribbean descent, and where conflicts between police and residents broke out in the 1980s and 1990s.

The UK Government has launched a four-week public consultation seeking views on whether to relax licensing hours across England and Wales to celebrate the wedding, set to take place on 19 May 2018.
