How to watch all the best picture Oscar nominees for only $35

"The Shape of Water" was one nomination shy from becoming only the fourth movie in the Oscars history to bag a record 14 nods, levelling the stature held by "La La Land", "All About Eve" and "Titanic". "What is lovely is to get there being faithful to the images you have loved all your life,".

Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe, "The Florida Project"; Woody Harrelson, "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri"; Richard Jenkins, "The Shape of Water"; Christopher Plummer, "All the Money in the World"; Sam Rockwell, "Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri".

Guillermo Del Toro film trailed by Dunkirk, Three Billboards, Phantom Thread; Greta Gerwig, Kumail Nanjiani, Jordan Peele make Oscar debut with nominations in Best Picture, Original Screenplay categories.

Award shows in the run-up to this year's Oscars have been dominated by women's issues. Indeed, any movie that took home Best Picture this year would be more than worthy of its acclaim.

But while most of us will focus on the snubs and discuss why they should have been nominated, Wonder Woman being the main focus this year, some focus should also be given to the nominations that made us sit up and really take notice.

In need of some blockbuster magic, could Academy members turn to Christopher Nolan's World War II epic 'Dunkirk', the former Best Picture favourite, which is now priced at 20/1.

"The Big Sick", "Get Out", "Lady Bird", "The Shape of Water", "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".

Sally Hawkins and Octavia Spencer were both nominated for their performances in The Shape of Water, and R&B singer Mary J. Blige was nominated for her role in Mudbound, the interesting and honest Netflix production about two families, one black and the other white, in postwar Mississippi. (He was in The Post, too.) Typically a year like that gets recognition.

Still, there was even was more good news for queer cinema in this year's nominees.

James Franco's film "The Disaster Artist" was nominated for best adapted screenplay, along with "Call Me By Your Name", "Mudbound", "Molly's Game" and "Logan".

Tom - who is married to Rita Wilson - said: "Let me say it right now, the bar was far away".

The changing nature of the Academy voters is crucial for allowing more opportunities for work to be seen and recognized.

Since 1990, only the 2003 fantasy epic "Lord of the Rings; The Return of the King" snapped that trend to win the top Oscar honor. Peele's movie "Get Out" is considered as one of the biggest surprise movies to be part of the Academy Awards by publications and critics. This is a packed category, I honestly have no idea who's going to get it, although I doubt it'll be Peele or Gerwig, as much as I would love that.

Times staff writers Tre'vell Anderson, Mark Olsen, Yvonne Villarreal and Jen Yamato contributed to this report.

Written and directed by Dain Iskandar Said, the movie premiered at the 2011 Toronton Film Festival and received high praise for its excellent storytelling and cinematography. The leader of the mission is Capt. Mitch Nelson, played by Chris Hemsworth. Margot Robbie, who I was anxious about when I first saw the I, Tonya trailer simply because I couldn't shake the Harley Quinn of it all, completely got rid of my worries and secured an Oscar nomination which is wild because Suicide Squad was not good. Nominated for Call Me By Your Name, he is the third-youngest person to ever be nominated for the category. Even though the final lineup may be disappointing, we still get caught up in the competition and can't help but pore over the details to decide who will be left standing when the celebration is over.
