India beat Pakistan by seven wickets

For the second time in two matches, India won the toss and elected to put their opponents in to bat. Batting first Pakistan scored a total of 282 runs in their quota of 40 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.

In reply, India scored their runs in 35 overs.

"On television, the reach of the competition will be spread across five continents as ICC continues its long-term partnerships with various broadcast partners", the worldwide council said in a statement.

Deepak Malik scored unbeaten 79 runs and Venkatesh scored 64 runs.

Deepak Malik was adjudged Man of the Match.

With this win, India climbed to the top of their group, followed by Pakistan.

The Green Shirts lead the points table after registering back-to-back victories against Bangladesh and Nepal. The team's opening game against Australia was called off due to heavy rain.

Despite the tournament being officially hosted in Pakistan, India's refusal to travel to the country means that their matches are being hosted in the UAE.

The plate tournament will run simultaneously but end with the final at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Christchurch on January 28.

"We have beaten Bangaladesh cricket team and we are ready for the U19 World Cup".

The opening day of the 22-day tournament will witness four matches, including those featuring defending champions the West Indies and two-time champions Pakistan .
