He leads his team and the West Coast Conference in points, rebounds, field-goal percentage, offensive rebounds (3.4), defensive rebounds (6.8), double-doubles (10) and total field-goals made (143). Gustafson is now ranked in the top-15 nationally in 10 categories. Voters are permitted to take into consideration the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament when casting the ballot. The victor of the 2018 John R. Wooden Award will be presented during the ESPN College Basketball Awards presented by Wendy's on Friday, April 6, 2018.

The junior has 9 double-doubles in UNC's 17 games this season. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for youth, and free for UI students.
