Leipzig Ready to Complete Keita Liverpool Deal Early

So, instead of paying big to buy a new player, there have been suggestions that Liverpool could speed up the arrival of Naby Keita instead.

The Premier League club already have an agreement in place for Keita to arrive from RB Leipzig in the summer, and he's already been presented as a Liverpool player, but there's a plan to get him for Jurgen Klopp now.

Will we see this man in England this month?

Liverpool agreed a deal worth £66.4m with Leipzig during the summer for Keita to move to the Premier League when the 2018 summer transfer window opens.

Liverpool had explored the possibility of getting him sooner but following Coutinho's departure, Klopp is now eager to draft him in ahead of the second half of the season.

Reports of an early deal between Leipzig and Liverpool being made for Keita had been fuelled by the midfielder's poor start to the season, which former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Simon Rolfes believes is harming the Bundesliga side. But for a price.

He said: "I think Liverpool are going to try to offer more money if necessary, call it a loan deal, but they want to offer more money to Leipzig".

What's more, RB Leipzig are reportedly seeking for a cash injection in order to avoid a breach of UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

Liverpool FC have also bid farewell to Philippe Coutinho after the Brazilian playmaker finally completed his move to Barcelona on Monday.

Of course, if Keita does make the move, he would be ineligible for the Champions League matches having represented Leipzig in the same competition already this season.
