National Football League playoff picks: Chiefs are near-unanimous choice over Titans

"We completed the first step and now it's on to the second one, which is winning this game". He turned plays that could have gained a yard or two into lost-yardage snaps because he tried to turn them into bigger plays. Rookie running back Kareem Hunt has done all of that and more, leading the National Football League with over 1,300 rushing yards in 2017. Murray finished the season with a career-worst 659 yards rushing, but he ran for six touchdowns. Many began to wonder if Kansas City was a flash in the pan. "I could say other words, but I have to play better". Fellow running back Demarco Murray is questionable for the game, while quarterback Marcus Mariota has struggled outside of Nashville with 11 of 15 interceptions coming on the road.

That means the Titans have to get the running game going with Henry, who managed just 51 yards on 28 carries last week.

In a way, the Titans are a similar defense to Pittsburgh, and that should really scare Chiefs fans because we all know the Steelers have Kansas City's number. Erik Walden and Logan Ryan will be key leaders for the Titans, both with double-digit playoff appearances and a Super Bowl ring.

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Phillip Gaines was placed on injured reserve with a dislocated elbow, the team announced Wednesday. They'll need to take care of Tennessee deficiencies and utilize their own offensive weapons and potential mismatches to finally send the Arrowhead faithful home happy in the postseason.

The Titans (9-7) will face the Chiefs (10-6) in the wild-card round Saturday with kickoff set for 4:35 p.m. ET.
