Telegram Now Supports Multiple Accounts on Android

Popular messaging client Telegram has received a new update bringing new features and improvements. The new version 4.7 brings a bunch of features for iOS and Android users.

Apart from adding theme support for iOS with update 4.7, Telegram has also added support for multiple accounts in the Android app, hence, Telegram users on Android need not rely on third party apps to be able to use multiple accounts of Telegram on a single device.

You are able to easily switch between them from the side menu of the app, but Telegram will send notifications for all of them regardless of which one is now active. The iOS version of Telegram now comes with several themes that you can choose from including a "minimalistic Day" theme and two dark themes- "Night" and "Night Blue". "To reinforce the festive mood, we're updating Telegram for the second time this December, adding features you've been asking for", said Telgram in a statement. Simply swipe left on any message in a chat to instantly reply to it. However, notifications from all the accounts will pop up on the screen (enabled by default) even if you are now using one of those accounts.

Beyond the support for multiple accounts, there are also a couple of other changes on Android. With the quick replies feature, users now don't have to long press on a message and tap on the back arrow button to reply to it.

Telegram v4.7 is available now on Google Play. In the Android 4.7 update to Telegram, there is also a new "Swipe to Reply" feature.
