Whoa, These New Sony Xperia Devices Look Like All Other Xperia Devices

According to the newly leaked press renders of Sony's upcoming mid-range and low-range phones - Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2, there won't be any major design change in these devices.

The smartphones might be showcased in Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018.

The design language on all three models closely mirrors that of the current Xperia lineup - for better or for worse - but several leaks offer some hope that Sony is also preparing higher-end handsets with significantly reduced bezels. "The Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra will both offer FullHD resolution screens, but the XA2 will have a 5.2" display, while the XA2 Ultra will come with a 6" screen. The XA2 and XA2 Ultra will both have a 21MP rear camera, while the front facing cameras differ wildly. The new Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2, as they'll be known, now have been shown in full glory, thanks to Venture Beat. Other specifications of the phone will be similar to XA2.

All three new Xperias have fingerprint scanners on the back, in a first for Sony smartphones. The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra will have the same 21MP main shooter and a dual 15MP selfie cameras. Powering the XA2 will be the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chip that will also be running under the hood of the bigger XA2 Ultra.

The XA2 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, the Snapdragon 630 SoC, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

The Sony Xperia XA2 will feature a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution, an upgrade over the 5.0-inch HD display of the XA1. The Xperia L2 does not seem to have a dedicated camera button, but apart from that, rest of the design largely remains the same. Apparently, only the XA2 and XA2 Ultra will run Android 8 Oreo out of the box, while the Xperia L2 is expected to be launched with Android 7 Nougat on board.
