HTC U12 Reportedly Appears in Real Skin

Taiwanese manufacturer HTC was reportedly showcasing its upcoming flagship U12 smartphone at an industry event in Taiwan recently.

The smartphone was launched outside in two storage variants one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Though HTC refused to confirm if it is the U12 model, acclaimed smartphone tipster Evan Blass tweeted the phone is indeed HTC U12 or HTC Imagine.

In terms of specs, the device boasts of a 6-inch Quad HD+ display with 1440x2560 pixels resolution with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The HTC U11+ was first launched in November 2017 in "select markets" at Euro 799 (roughly Rs 60,000). But besides that, it's very obvious that the flagship will have an 18:9 screen-to-body ratio as seen in the cover image, the bezels at the sides are quite minimal as well and look quite curvy than its predecessor.

Previous rumors suggested that the smartphone would sport a 4K display. At the moment, the mystery phone can deliver an nearly 1 Gbps download speed (809.58 Mbps). LAA is a part of the LTE Advanced Pro and allows for gigabit speeds. But in India, the company has only launched Amazing Silver variant of the phone.

According to a Taiwanese publication, HTC said that its new flagship phone would be unveiled sometime this year. The handset is also listed on the official website of the company.
