Man arrested for possible kidnapping threat against Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey says she is "doing fine" after a Florida man was arrested for stalking the singer and threatening to kidnap her. It is reported that on Friday, before the concert in Orlando a man named Michael Hunt attempted to kidnap the singer using a 3-inch folding knife.

Police in Florida arrested the man as they has reason to believe he posed a "credible threat" to Del Ray's wellbeing. Police said he had tickets for the concert and was carrying a knife.

Quoting one of his posts from January 29 of this year, the prosecutor read, "Our queen forever in both worlds, I love you so much, Lana".

Friday night, police in Orlando arrested Michael Hunt "for aggravated stalking & attempted kidnapping w/a weapon". OPD Detectives considered this a credible threat, and took investigative measure to locate Hunt.

Hunt, 43, was arrested a block from Amway Center, the site of Fridays leg of Del Reys LA to the Moon Tour, according to the Orlando Police Department release.

Earlier Friday, a tipster called police to report alarming posts about Del Rey on Hunt's social media account, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Del Rey is now on tour to support Lust for Life. Hunt reportedly has 61 felony convictions that rages from drugs to violent crimes.

Mr Hunt is being held in custody at Orange County Jail. The charges include "burglary of an occupied structure, grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft with a firearm, forgery and possession and sale of marijuana".

He also shared a YouTube link to one of Del Rey's videos and wrote, "I love you too I'm so sorry I did this to us".

She said: "Thank you so much for coming out and making those shows totally insane and keeping the energy high".

She added that she was "feeling super lucky after a couple of days of fantastic shows" and that she was "grateful".
