Monster Hunter World Patch Fixes Squad Issues and Matchmaking

Now a new, impressive milestone, has been made official: Capcom has sold and shipped more than 6 million copies of the PS4 and Xbox One title, for it to become the fastest-selling game in the company's history.

If you need a hand taking down monsters, you can check out how to get the most out of the crafting system and our list of essential items for a successful hunt.

What about you? Are you playing Monster Hunter World? Unfortunately, Capcom says that players who created a Squad and were affected by this will have lost any Squad data. However, Slicing ammo's power has been decreased, and it should have less of an effect if it happens to hit another player. Additionally, players in squads whose squad leaders have their data reset will also see any affiliated data disappear the next time they log in'.

With flexible online multiplayer options and an accessible quest structure, players can tackle challenges alone or join up to three other hunters online for cooperative play.

Fixed an issue where some players could not claim the item pack "5 Million Celebration Item Pack".

Fixes regarding the decorations that were lost and the issues with selection of items has been taken care off. Players can only carry 30 Slashberries in their item pouch from now on.

Normal Ammo 1, 2 and 3, Pierce Ammo 1, 2 and 3 and all elemental ammo except for Dragon Ammo has had its damage output boosted, while Slicing Ammo damage has been nerfed.

The official Monster Hunter Twitter account also announced the new Event Quests - Kirin the Myth, Wicked Wildspire Warfare, and Triple Threat Takedown - are now live. Players can still use any remaining extra Slashberries if they now have more than 30 in their item pouch.

Alongside today's patch, Capcom issued another statement for Xbox One players, reiterating that it is "working tirelessly on pinpointing the issues with matchmaking" on the console.

It also notes that "it's been reported that some hunters have had success using the Matchmake feature after setting their NAT connection settings to Open on their Xbox One".
