New Trailers Show Off New World; 'Final Fantasy' Inspiration, 'Surprise' Portion Teased

We then get to see a quick cut-scene featuring the Toy Story gang before a montage of different worlds featured in-game, namely the Monsters, Inc. warehouse complex with Sulley, Mike, and Boo.

In addition to the gameplay trailer, new story details were introduced, giving fans an idea about who they'll be facing off against in the story. Marluxia also mentions that he is part of a "New" Organization XIII, the league of antagonists from previous games.

Lastly, it was revealed that the release date, which is still tentatively scheduled for 2018 as revealed at last years D23 Expo, will be revealed at this year's E3. The trailer also provided a peek of the other worlds in the game, including the one based on "Tangled", which sees Rapunzel use her hair to travel around and take down enemies. At last year's D23 Expo in Japan, the Toy Story world was revealed. We have both of these new videos for you below. The "Late" section is described by director Tetsuya Nomura as something he always wanted to put into Kingdom Hearts, which is bound to surprise everyone.

Development on the "Early" section is said to be around 90% done, while the "Middle" section is around 60% done.

Square Enix, unfortunately, has not talked about the game's release date, which is still set for a generic 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
