Stop giving speeches and start working: Rahul Gandhi tells PM Modi

In a series of roadside and public meetings, he said, "You will have to tell the country during the elections what you did in the last five years".

Koppal: AICC President Rahul Gandhi's four-day poll campaign in the State entered the second day today, with the Congress President set to tour four Assembly segments in Koppal and Raichur districts.

S. Suresh Kumar, chief spokesperson, BJP, said it was worrying that Mr. Gandhi did not address the issue of farmer suicides or the murders of Hindu activists in the State. However, Rahul Gandhi is comparing the uncomparables. He advised Mr Modi to take a leaf from the life of Basavanna, the twelfth century social reformer, who propounded the concept, Kaayakave Kailasa (Work is Worship). He said the country had made Modi prime minister to provide employment to youth, to help farmers, to establish schools and hospitals and not to talk about Congress party.

"That's the reason your vehicle falls into ditch or faces accident..."

Rahul Gandhi attached images that disclosed the price of Sukhoi aircraft, INS Vikramaditya and upgradation cost of Mirage aircraft.

"Our government will work for the future".

Highlighting the way in which Congress in the state has run the government in the last five years, he said, "We will do even better in the next five years after coming to power". "We are limited in our resources sort of access, of tools and software", said Spandana.

Stepping up his attack on the BJP, Gandhi said while the Siddaramaiah government had a scam-free record, the BJP had broken "world record" in graft in Karnataka.

Rahul, who started his speech by wishing the people in Kannada at the party's Janaashirvada Yatra at Hospete, quickly shifted to Hindi and his speech was translated into Kannada by KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundu Rao.
