Air Canada computer issues causing congestion at some airports

Air Canada late Monday was working to clear a backlog of passengers following what the carrier termed "computer-telecommunications issues" that affected both domestic and global flights.

The Air Canada AC8060 departure at 10 a.m. was cancelled and the airport is reporting that others may be facing delays.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and are working towards restoring our service as quickly as possible", the airline said on Twitter.

"Today's computer issues have had a wide impact on our customers and we apologize for any inconvenience".
