Gary Neville has tweeted a message of support to Jamie Carragher

"No matter the circumstances, you can't ever behave like that". "I'm sorry. I'll apologise again today properly", he said.

Darts legend Eric Bristow lost his role as a Sky Sports commentator two years ago after news broke of English football's sexual abuse scandal.

"My biggest regret is for the 14-year-old girl to be caught in the middle of it", Carragher said. "I've watched the video, and it does not look very nice", Carragher was driving home after summarising on Manchester United's win over Liverpool at Old Trafford when he apparently became involved in a conversation with the occupants of an adjacent auto.

"It is the lowest of the low". understands that a decision about Carragher's future at Sky has yet to be made.

When asked why he did it, Carragher called it a "moment of madness".

"I am speaking to people at Sky and working at the best way forward".

She added: 'I was extremely angry and disappointed that he could even bring himself to do something like that.

Football fans reacted with anger to Carragher's spitting shame.

"Hopefully I can show people over these next days and weeks the real me and hopefully a moment of madness will not cloud their judgement". I drove away at first and it just continued.

"All I can do now is apologise".

JC: I can apologise as I know that this has put a lot of my supporters, family and friends in a very hard position.

Carragher had been due to appear on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football tonight, 12th March, for Manchester City's Premier League cash with Stoke. What I would say is there is no doubt that why I have done is disgusting. Once you've made such a mistake it's about how you act now. We would like to hear him about it and hear what happened.

"That there was a young girl involved makes the perception of it worse, but I think whether it's a girl or a man, the spitting is wrong, let's face facts". Sky suspended Beagrie when they became aware of the case and fired him when a judgment was reached.

"I don't know what will happen [long-term]", he told Danish paper BT, "It is not good behaviour but we are all just human beings".
