Was Meghan Markle's beret a nod to Princess Diana?

Was Meghan Markle's beret a nod to Princess Diana?

Having Meghan at the event was a break in royal protocol for the Queen, but it's not the first time she has made an exception for the former Suits star to join them prior to her nuptials to Harry.

For today's Commonwealth Day Services in England, Markle put her usual rule-breaking ways on hold in favor of coordinating navy and cream outfits with the Duchess of Cambridge.

Her Amanda Wakeley dress coat, navy Manolo Blahnik heels and Mulberry clutch make her look as though she's been rifling through Kate's cast-offs - and let's not even mention those flesh-coloured tights.

The coat featured a velvet collar.

It's not Markle's only sartorial nod to her future husband's mother; her engagement ring also contains two diamonds that once belonged to Diana.

Kate Middleton, now in the third trimester of her pregnancy with her third child, wore a navy coat dress, matching hat and the same Manolo Blahnik navy suede pumps. (Her hat, a less traditional style and not her usual, is by Lock & Co.) Markle acknowledged photographers as she entered Westminster Abbey, as Ghanaian drummers played upon their arrival.

Prince Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, is to marry Markle on May 19 at St. George's Chapel, a 15th-century church on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Following the #CommonwealthDay Service, TRH's & Ms. Markle then had the opportunity to meet some school children who travelled from Belfast, Fyfe, Aberystwyth, Stoke-on-Trent, Alnmouth, Berwick-upon-tweed and York to attend.

Meghan Markle's all-white look is giving us wedding fever!

In another shot, Megs and Harry team up with their Bizarro Land comrades and enjoy a black-tie dinner with Prince William (Burgess Abernethy) and Kate Middleton (Laura Mitchell).

While we know that Prince Harry and Meghan will get married on 19th May, Kensington Palace has also revealed details around what will happen on the day of the Royal wedding.
