Wenger racks up 700th Arsenal win

Arsene Wenger has offered a fitness update on Mesut Ozil, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi after Arsenal's win over Watford this afternoon. On top of that he saved a penalty today.

"He went, in one week, from hell to heaven". But, I would like to personally congratulate him for a remarkable achievement. He shows a huge level of intelligence.

Karnezis could do nothing, however, to prevent Shkodran Mustafi's eighth-minute header, steered into the left of goal from Ozil's left-hand-side free kick.

Arsenal: Cech 8, Maitland-Niles 6, Holding 6, Mustafi 7, Kolasinac 6, Elneny 7, Xhaka 7, Ozil 7, Iwobi 6, Mkhitaryan 7, Aubameyang 7. Aubameyang netted his third goal in an Arsenal shirt, after converting Mkhitaryan through ball into the back of the net on the hour mark.

The club-record signing burst through but shot straight at Orestis Karnezis, the Watford goalkeeper using his body to put the ball over for a corner.

The Spanish worldwide was considered a doubt for next week's Europa League second leg but Wenger now claims Bellerin could be back to face Milan on Thursday. They were deserving of the victory with some crisp, free-flowing football played and some lovely goals scored, but there were moments of nervousness and causes for concern.

"It was a convincing win".

"We are taking the situation more seriously now and we managed to beat Milan away in the Europa league before beating Watford. We had a nightmare week, and so overall we still have some work to do, but we are in a good way". It's like rain in England. "I focus on my job, and I think I've shown in 22 years that I can do that".

"I can not say anything more, because there is nothing to say and I do not want to hurt Arsene, whom I adore and for whom I have a lot of respect". "But it is a bit of understanding because of the week we have had".

In recent years Arsene Wenger has reinvented Arsenal over and over again.
