Monday's meeting will discuss the sale price of the gems
The board which oversees the ownership of the Quincy gems baseball franchise has called a special meeting for Monday at noon.
The Civic Center Authority Board may go into executive session to discuss the sale price of the gems.
The baseball team won the Prospect League Championship this year, but has failed to make any money for several seasons.
Gems management reports a buyer has been found, but no details have been given.
Also on Monday meeting’s agenda, the proper notice of meetings. The Quincy Herald-Whig made a request to the Illinois Attorney General regarding the Board has not always provided proper notice of its meetings, which are by law open to the public.
